Rhodes

This beautiful Greek island attracts thousands of visitors per year thanks to its history, stunning beaches, delicious food and party lifestyle. It is one of the most visited islands in Greece, and it isn’t hard to see why. The east side of the island boasts a gorgeous coastline with powdery-soft white sand and turquoise waters. Here, sun-worshippers come to snorkel, take part in water sports and top up their tans. Many of the main resorts are also steeped in history. Lindos is overlooked by an Acropolis ruin, while Rhodes Town features churches from the Byzantine years and ruins from the Trojan War. Further inland, life gets more serene with sleepy villages, old windmills, monasteries and mountain walks that are great for hiking.
