Why a holiday rental is perfect for a romantic couple’s break

Everyone has their own picture of the perfect romantic getaway, and that can be a secluded retreat, a weekend of wining and dining, or an action-packed adventure. No matter what kind of holiday you and your partner prefer, renting a holiday home is an ideal way to stay in your chosen destination.

You don’t have to forgo the luxury of a hotel – on the contrary, a self-catering rental is well laid out and offers you more privacy at a lower cost. Looking for a romantic winter break in the Canaries? Or planning a honeymoon in Greece? A holiday rental will always offer something that ticks all your boxes.

Here are some of the benefits of choosing a holiday rental.

You can enjoy private facilities

Privacy is perhaps the biggest benefit of renting your own accommodation. No more passing by other guests as you navigate endless hallways to find your room; everything you need is right there, and just for you. Having a kitchen and living space to yourselves will make you feel right at home.

Best of all, you can choose to enjoy the luxury of a private pool or maybe even a hot tub. What better way than a peaceful swim together to cool down in the Corfu heat, or unwind after a day of sightseeing in Croatia?

You can put together your own menus

In self-catering accommodation, you’re in charge of your own food – great if you’re a picky eater or you have any special dietary requirements. With a fully equipped kitchen in your holiday home, you have a host of dining options at your fingertips.

You might opt to cook up comforts from home, but to sample some local flavours without splurging on a restaurant meal, you could recreate local dishes yourself. Staying in a villa for two on Tenerife? Buy some gofio, the island’s traditional grain, and try cooking some escaldón, one of the most uniquely Canarian dishes around.

You can have a romantic night in

Just because you’re on holiday, there’s no obligation to be out and about every moment of your stay. Hotel rooms don’t provide much space for you to wind if you want to spend a relaxed night by yourselves. Instead of a tiny balcony, you could be sipping drinks on a villa terrace.

Your holiday rental can become a romantic hideaway. Whether you’re escaping the bustle of holiday-goers on lively Majorca, or taking a break from the heat in Lanzarote, you’ll appreciate having your own private space.

You can stick around for longer

Hotels are a convenient option on short breaks for couples, but there is only so long you can stay before you start to miss home’s little pleasures. If you fancy getting away to warm climates for a longer break, a holiday rental is the way to go, without doubt.

You can devise your own schedule without worrying about hotel mealtimes and late night entry to the building. You’ll have space to unpack and all the facilities you could possibly need to make your accommodation into home away from home.

Booking a villa break is the opportunity to seize some time for the two of you alone, all in a charming setting. When the time to leave rolls around, you won’t want to go!

Even there are special tours organised as Trulli Vacanze In Puglia. A showcase for the history of how people used to live in these small huts with unique symbols on their roof.
